Selena Gomez had TikTok users engaged the most over the past year, according to a report released by the social video-sharing platform.
Gomez, who has almost 60 million followers, was crowned TikTok’s most popular artist in the United States. The multi-hyphenate, who regularly posts using the viral sounds du jour, leads the pack of musicians who made the top 10, joining Ice Spice, Natalie Jane, Lizzo, Ariana Grande and more. She also was the second-most popular artist worldwide, only second to Kim Loaiza and above Blackpink, Shakira and BTS. All credit goes to Gomez herself, whose February video of her getting ready for a 6 a.m. flight accrued more than 24 million likes and ranked fourth on the top U.S. trending videos.

She wasn’t the only one with sped-up renditions to make the top 10, as Fifty Fifty’s “Cupid – Twin Ver – Sped-Up Version,” Partynextdoor’s “Her Way (Sped Up)” and Toosii’s “Favorite Song – Sped Up” consecutively landed in the spots behind her. Other sounds that went mega-viral include Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer,” PinkPantheress and Ice Spice’s “Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2” and Jain’s “Makeba.”
