Singer Portable Reacts As Headies Threatens To Disqualify Him Over Death Threats To Other Nominees
Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Popularly known as Portable has responded to the Headies statement condemning his death threat to his fellow nominees if he losses the award. Days after the 2022 Headies nomination list was released, Portable in a video shared on his page said nothing must stop him from clinching the award.
The fast-rising singer who was nominated to contest in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ categories said he will kill whoever beats him to the awards.
Sowore Reacts As Appeal Court Declares Him AAC National Chairman
Former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has reacted to the court affirmation on Thursday which declared him as the National Chairman of the African Action Congress (AAC). Sowore was affirmed as the National Chairman of the party by a Court of Appeal in Abuja, Naija News recalls.
The court in its ruling on Thursday noted that a 2019 judgement by the High Court which sacked Sowore as the chairman of AAC was out of the court’s jurisdiction, adding that it was an internal affair.
Tambuwal Out, Makinde In As PDP Govs Forum Chairman
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has been appointed as the new Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum. Naija News reports that the former chairman, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State resigns from the position on Thursday paving the way for Makinde.
Makinde emerged as the new chairman at the ongoing PDP National Executive Council Board meeting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A total of 397 members of the NEC including past national chairmen of the party, the immediate past Vice President of the country, Namadi Sambo, the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, among others were accredited for the meeting.

The Convener of Concerned Nigerian movement, Deji Adeyanju on Thursday said the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress is likely to go to the South-South. Adeyanju who posted a picture of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele said APC is considering giving its presidential ticket to an Igbo candidate.
