EBOLA: Schools To Resume By October - FG
Nigeria's Ministry for Education has announced that all public and private schools classes are to be delayed by a month as this is part of the “preventive measures” against the Ebola virus, which was brought into Nigeria 38 days ago.
Education Minister, Ibrahim Shekarau, today told senior teachers in the country: “All primary and secondary schools in private and public sectors are to remain closed until Monday, October 13”.

EFCC Arrests Ganduje's Wife, Drags Her To Abuja
Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arrested and detained the wife of the Governor of Kano State, Hafsat Ganduje. Naija News gathered Mrs Ganduje was apprehended in Kano on Monday evening by the crack detective team of the anti-graft agency.
She was then moved to the commission’s headquarters in Abuja for further interrogation in relation to the allegation levelled against her on Tuesday.
The Kano First lady was arrested based on a petition by one of her sons, Abdulazeez Ganduje, who had accused her of corruption and diversion of funds.
FG Issues Security Alert To Nigerians
The federal government has alerted the general public not to be scared by the noticeable increase in the level of security patrol and activities ahead of the October 1 independence day celebration. According to a statement in Abuja on Friday issued by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, all is in order and there is no need for residents and citizens to panic.
The statement, in particular, noted that there will be an obvious increase in security presence in the Federal Captial Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Fires claim 12 lives in 10 months in FFS Zone
